Support for your group is what High Peak CVS is all about Community and Voluntary Support. Much of this is given personally by our development workers. They can help you with starting and developing your group, structuring and running your organisation, finding and applying for funding, training for your organisation members and staff, and many other types of advice - see the section Our Work.

However, there are also many aspects of advice and information that you can find on this website.  Some of the matters that frequently require advice have indroductory coverage on the pages in this Support section.  Others are dealt with in the sections below:

Check out our section on Funding for useful introductory links to finding grants and to information on income generation.

How Guides

These are our range of concise and simple information sheets on a variety of issues and subjects relevant to voluntary and community groups; under the headings Organisations, Finance, Funding, Staff, Buildings, etc.

The Small Group Project supports groups in the High Peak and produces an informative newsletter called View From the Peak two or three times a year. High Peak CVS issues a regular Email Bulletin of news for the voluntary and community sector, to which you can subscribe for free. The items for this are drawn from the News, Events and Jobs listings on this website. Other useful publications are listed in the Documents store.

Web Links

The extensive categorised list of web resources is a good place to look for broader support on a variety of matters.

If you are looking for a place in the High Peak to hold an event or meeting, our list of local venues has details to help you; including room specifications, photos and maps.
