Bright Side Garden Group in Glossop

Starts Tuesday 12 June for 6 weeks 10am – 12noon in Gardens at Charles Street, central Glossop (opposite the Library).

  • Learn how to bring a garden back to life when the weeds have taken over!
  • Learn how to spot which plants are weeds and get rid of them, dig over a bed, make choices about what crops to plant, and to make slate signage.
  • A trip is planned to an established community garden or garden centre
  • The course finishes with a pizza-making party using the fantastic clay outdoor Pizza oven

The course is free to anyone who is experiencing emotional difficulties, psychological issues or mental health issues or who is socially isolated as part of DCC’s Bright Side programme.  Adult Education are planning to run accredited gardening qualifications from their Adult Education site in future, so Bright Side learners could gain the confidence and be able to progress to a hobby or future career
