Buxton Spring Fair 2015

As usual the Spring Fair on Monday 4 May will take place from 10am to 5pm throughout the town centre - Spring Gardens, the Crescent, the Slopes, the Market Place and High Street, and incorporating part of the Pavilion Gardens so as to link up with events there. The area will be filled with stalls, art, music and entertainment.

This is your chance to introduce your business, your club, your band or yourself, to everyone in the area.

To take part, decide which of the following categories you fall into:

1) Trade Stalls and Commercial Businesses

2) Local Club, Society, Charity or similar - will be allocated a designated space of around 3.5m x 3.5m; you will need to provide your own stall, tent, gazebo, table etc.  If you are a charitable group selling things or asking for donations you can apply to HPBC for a street collection license; there is no charge for this, but you will have to submit a financial return after the event. Alternatively, whether selling or asking for donations, or if you are not 'charitable', you can be included in the trading permit issued to us by HPBC. Their normal fee for this has been waived, so all we ask is a contribution to the overall costs of the event, of £5 or £10, according to whether or not your organisation has any paid employees. Use the Stall-holder Application Form.

3) Performers - A number of performance venues will be set up, where musicians, performing artists, sports, dance and activity groups can book a time slot free of charge. The event will be covered by a Performing Rights Society permit and Public Performance License.

4) Shop Front Extension

Fill in the appropriate application form and send it with your payment to: Buxton Town Team, c/o 22 West Road, Buxton SK17 6HF. Applications must be received by Monday 6 April 2015. Late entries may be refused; even if there is still space we reserve the right to impose a £5 surcharge!

HPBC rules and the terms of our insurance mean that all participants (stall-holders and performers) need public liability insurance to £5m. If you don't have this already, you can probably be added to the event policy for the day, on a named participant basis. The cost of this is £10 per stallholder / group.
