On Saturday 22 October 10am to 12.30pm at Whaley Bridge Memorial Park – meeting at the Sports Pavilion (access via Park Rd - car parking available). In the past a candlelit vigil has been held to remember that two women are killed each week in domestic abuse incidents. However, this year High Peak and Derbyshire Dales Domestic Abuse and Sexual Abuse Action Group would like you, your friends and family to join them on a short walk as part of the ‘Derbyshire Day to Remember Victims’.
Help raise awareness of domestic abuse, remember the victims and learn about the support available. The aim is to make this year’s free event more inclusive and family friendly, so it will include a short guided walk, with a quiz on route, refreshments and light lunch to finish the event.
