Weston Anniversary Fund – Deadline: 30 June 2018
Details...
To celebrate its anniversary and the vital role of volunteers and community charities, the Foundation has created an additional fund that is aimed at small charities and community organisations across the UK. The Foundation is offering grants to provide new or improve existing community facilities.
The Foundation, one of the UK’s largest charitable institutions, is warning that small community organisations, which provide many vital services in local areas, are at risk if they do not receive more support.
The Weston Anniversary Fund will provide capital grants of between £30,000 and £150,000 to UK registered charities, CIOs, places of worship and state schools to support capital projects that make a difference to local communities across the UK. Applicants must have a total income of less than £3 million and the total project cost must not exceed £300,000. Grants will need to be spent and projects fully completed by the end of 2020.

It is hoped to be able to speak to members of the public and provide lots of information around the variety of support and initiatives available for older people to access in Derbyshire. We are focussing on all safeguarding issues that may affect older people but in particular financial abuse as it is also Scams Awareness Month in June. Staff supporting the event will be wearing something purple as this is the colour theme chosen by the Charity ‘Action for Elder Abuse’ as it reflects royalty; how elderly people should be treated.
