News: Mental Health Awareness Training

FREE Mental Health Awareness Training on Tue 11 Sep 2018 6pm at High Peak CVS, for staff and volunteers of voluntary and community groups working with children 5 – 18 years old.

The session aims to raise awareness of the early signs of mental health distress and an improved knowledge of when and how to signpost to appropriate local mental health support services.

Also aimed at voluntary and community groups working with 5-18 year olds, High Peak CVS is running another Mental Health Forum on 25 September 6.30 – 8.30pm at the same address. This is an opportunity to share issues and good practice that arise from work with children and young people  and there will be a presentation on how to introduce elements of the 5 ways to wellbeing into your work to help support young people’s wellbeing

News: Wellbeing Workshops and Retreats at Blythe House Hospice

Blythe House staff facilitate education and training workshops and retreats for healthcare professionals and the general public, covering a range of subjects.

Wellbeing Workshops at Blythe House on Saturday 22 September  10am – 4pm. Cost is £45 and places are limited, so early booking is recommended. The day includes workshops, therapy taster sessions and fabulous demonstrations and samples of  Neil’s Yard Remedies and  Forever Living products.

Tuesday 23 October 2018 1.15-3.15pm at St George’s Parish Hall, Church Lane, New Mills.

Deaf and Hearing Support is an independent charity which champions the work of the  DCC Adult Social Care and the CCG’s in the voluntary sector.  They provide vital support to deaf and hearing impaired people.

Deaf and Hearing Support are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and organised person to support the Administration Manager to ensure the smooth running of our busy organisation.
