Acceptable Use
of IT
By following this policy we willl help ensure IT facilities are used: legally; securely; without undermining High Peak CVS; effectively; in a spirit of co-operation, trust and consideration for others; so they remain available.
Child Protection High Peak CVS aims to support voluntary and community organisations and groups in creating atmospheres where children and young people feel valued and safe and a place there their welfare is promoted.
Confidentiality This policy is intended to protect the interests of users, potential users and their carers, staff, trustees and voluntary workers.
Disciplinary The purpose of disciplinary proceedings is to modify behaviour to enable work in a manner consistent with the organisation's policies.
Equal Opportunites It is the policy of the High Peak CVS to provide equality of opportunity for all regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, colour, national or ethnic or class origin, religious belief, marital status or impairment. 
Finance Overall responsibility for managing the financial affairs of High Peak CVS lies with the Trustees, who are required to reflect current legislation, the organisation's constitution and the standards set by the NACVS.
Grievance In general terms, a grievance is an issue between employees or between an employee and an employer arising out of pay and or conditions of employment or the application of the organisation's rules.
Health & Safety The Management Committee of High Peak CVS acknowledges its responsibilities under current legislation and believes that good practice requires that guidelines be observed.
Learning High Peak CVS believes that staff development and learning should be an integral part of the organisation’s strategic planning so that staff can perform their individual jobs effectively and, in doing so, ensure that the organisation achieves its objectives.
Staff Development High Peak CVS recognises that its most important assets are its workers. The intention is to support the continuous development of employees in order to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation.

Reserves As good financial practice a reserves policy covers 4 months of specific running costs, to ensure High Peak CVS can meet its financial liabilities.
Volunteers Volunteers have an important role in High Peak CVS and are properly respected as part of the workforce - policy, recruitment, induction, expenses, reponsibilities, expectations.
Vulnerable Adults High Peak CVS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, engaged in the breadth of its activities.
Whistleblowing How to deal with concerns about unlawful conduct, financial malpractice or dangers to clients, other volunteers and members of staff or harrassment or misbehaviour at work.
