This course offers a basic insight into the fundamentals of food hygiene that affects food safety and is designed for anyone working with food – for example luncheon clubs. Who is it for? The course is suitable for anyone who handles food as part of their job or works in a food production environment.
Topics covered: Food poisoning Bacteriology Prevention of contamination and food poisoning Personal hygiene Premises, equipment and pest control Cleaning and disinfection Legislation Objectives: By the end of the course the delegate will have a greater understanding of the measures required to restrict contamination and the outbreak of food poisoning
Assessment: Delegates take a multiple-choice exam and successful delegates receive a CIEH certificate
