Community groups and other good causes across the High Peak are being encouraged to raise extra funds by joining the High Peak Community Lottery.

The lottery draw takes place every Saturday evening, with winning numbers published on the lottery’s website.

Organisations that sign up receive their own free, customisable lottery page, with no set-up costs or administration fees.

Sixty per cent of every ticket sold supports good causes, with 50% going directly to the organisation chosen by the player and the remaining 10% contributing to a central community fund.

According to the scheme, organisations selling 50 tickets each week could raise more than £1,300 a year, with funds paid directly into their account every month.
