Our Helping out the High Peak initiative has been launched to ensure that businesses have even more opportunities to work more closely with some of our region’s outstanding voluntary groups.
It will ‘match-make’ companies of all sizes based across Derbyshire’s High Peak who want to put something back into their community with groups located on their patch
The scheme has been established by High Peak Community and Voluntary Support (CVS) after receiving financial support from the Severn Trent Community Fund.
Examples of ways businesses might get involved include:
- Are you able to provide some free legal, accountancy or HR advice?
- Do you have a meeting room that could be used occasionally by the community?
- Could you help with some photocopying or printing?
- Do you have a van and driver you could spare for a few hours?
Potential benefits for those businesses include:
- Greater customer loyalty
- Improved brand recognition
- Increased employee satisfaction and engagement
- Better staff retention
- Potential PR opportunities
Would you be interested in becoming part of the scheme and giving back to the community? If so, email High Peak CVS’s Business Development Officer Andy Hamill at Andrew@highpeakcvs.org.uk .
What is the Severn Trent Community Fund?
Severn Trent is supporting local charities and community groups across the Midlands with over £20 million in the ten years from 2020 – helping to make a real and tangible difference to the wellbeing in our communities.
The Community Fund is overseen by an independent panel, made up of Severn Trent customers, who review applications and make the final decisions on where the money will go.
