High Peak Baby Bank becomes an
official charity

It was a double whammy celebration for High Peak Baby Bank recently as the group officially became a fully-fledged charity, as well as being awarded National Lottery Funding for a second time.

The celebration event took place last month at Buxton Community Church where the charity is based. Volunteers and supporters gathered to enjoy cake and a bouncy castle and reflect on how far the group has come in a relatively short space of time.

“We’re all really excited for the next chapter of High Peak Baby Bank, and I’m so proud of everything we have achieved together to help the local communities we serve.”

High Peak Baby Bank has been helping and supporting families in the High Peak for over three years now since Kirsty Jackson set up the Facebook page for what was then her brainchild, Buxton Baby Bank!

“We have rehomed thousands and thousands of items, formed lasting friendships, and grown massively within the community going from Buxton Baby Bank to High Peak Baby Bank. Something that started out as a simple clothes swapping project for a chunky baby has become an amazing service encompassing so many types of families and services for those who need it.” Explained Kirsty, CEO of the charity.

Now officially charity number 1206279, High Peak Baby Bank has also been awarded a second grant from the National Lottery, which will have a massive positive impact on the group and enable operations to not only continue but to develop and grow as well.

Well done and congratulations from all of us here at High Peak CVS, we have loved watching and supporting you grow on this incredible journey.
