Over 50 attendees came to discuss their funding and what is available
Dove Holes Village hall played host to dozens of attendees who wanted to find out more about local funders in the High Peak.

We had a very successful Funders Fair at Dove Holes Village Hall.
Over 50 attendees representing 41 organisations came to see our room full of local funders and we had some highly positive feedback!
Attending local, regional and national funders includeD:
- Bingham Trust
- Enterprise Support Alliance / High Peak Borough Council
- Foundation Derbyshire
- Groundwork Greater Manchester
- National Lottery Community Fund
- Severn Trent Community Fund
- Sported
It provided an opportunity for local groups to learn more about what funders are looking for in a funding application and also to chat with funders about their own projects.
The day began with presentations from the funders setting out their criteria and application process which was then followed by a question and answer panel session. Finally the funders met one to one with local groups to chat about potential applications.
The funder’s presentations from the day can be found below:
Foundation Derbyshire
Foundation Derbyshire is a trusted, independent resource for supporters and beneficiaries of local causes. They are experts in managing donated funds and effectively distributing grants to the county’s grassroots charities and community groups. They have given out over 7,200 grants totalling over £18 million.
Groundwork uk
Groundwork support local communities and businesses to build capacity and resilience. Their latest fund, Tesco Stronger Starts supports thousands of local community projects and good causes across the UK. The scheme is open to all schools, registered charities and not-for-profit organisations, with priority given to projects that provide food and support to young people.
The National Lottery Community Fund
Severn trent
Severn Trent customers have helped to create and shape their community fund around improving community wellbeing. As a result, focus is on People, Places and Environment.
They seek to fund projects that link to these key elements of community wellbeing – with favourability shown to projects that ideally lie within a ‘sweet spot’ that incorporates all three.
Sported
The UK’s largest network of community groups promoting fairness and creating opportunities for young people through grassroot sport and physical activity. They empower the local heroes running these groups by providing much-needed professional expertise, resources and operational support, free of charge, to help their group survive and thrive.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all the funders who took part and also to Dove Holes Village Hall who hosted the event.
Funders Feedback
