High Peak Diabetic Self Help group exists to help families and individuals who have diabetes.
During lockdown the group has not been able to meet, but contact has been maintained through email, social media and phone conversations. Now that we are coming out of lockdown, they hope that members are coping well. Sometimes a little help is needed along the way. This is when the group can help. They are inviting applications for small grants.
Please apply to Sue Barber on sooby@rocketmail.com – or by post at: Glen Eldon, Parke Rd, Tideswell, Buxton SK17 8NS
They will ask you to complete a simple form telling them what you need, and why you need the help. In some circumstances they will provide the equipment you need, in others they will send you a cheque for the amount you need. In the past, they have fund raised and provided equipment for podiatry, blood testing and other hospital items. Now they offer this service to individuals. The applications in this round will be open until the end of June 2021.
