To recognise and celebrate WORLD KINDNESS DAY on Thursday 13th November High Peak CVS will be giving our hearts around the district to remind people that a small act of kindness can go a long way

We will be dropping the hearts off at community spaces, so if you see one please pick it up, keep it or pass it along to people who will appreciate it.

For world Kindness Day High Peak CVS we are suggesting that people think about volunteering their time for a local High Peak organisation or group… this can often mean just offering the time and skills that you have available…

  • Do you have skills that would benefit being on a board of trustees, those with accounting, corporate or medical backgrounds are often most yearned for for live skills and lived experiences are also needed.
  • Could you be a volunteer driver or befriender for Connex, New Mills Volunteer Centre or The Bureau
  • Do you have a gardening interest or knowledge that would benefit Townend Community Garden or Buxton Town Team
  • Maybe asking your local sports club if they need someone to coach or if you are more pressed for time to run the touchline or make the coffees once a month

If you are interested in showing some kindness by volunteering please have a google or drop in to your local groups and talk about what they need. Another option is to contact you local volunteering organisation

New Mills Volunteer Centre

The Bureau Glossop

Any finally, whether you can volunteer or not, try and deliver some random acts of kindness both tomorrow and forever
