New Chair steps up to plate for Buxton based support group

Survive and Thrive, are one of lockdown’s true success stories.

Set up in 2020 just before the pandemic hit, Survive and Thrive have certainly lived up to their name as they embark on another new chapter following their second AGM which was held recently.

The group, which is a support network for High Peak residents struggling with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and ME, welcomed a new Chair to the helm, Rob Jones (pictured with the other recently elected committee members). Rob takes over from Ange Williamson who has stepped down and who originally helped set up the group when she moved from Canada to Buxton.

The group which offers a confidential, relaxed and friendly environment for those suffering from these conditions, meets on a regular basis, and in lockdown maintained its support to members by moving meetings online.
